Anthony Buchanan to W.A. Colclough

Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents
that whereas Anthony Buchanon of above State
and County is indebted to W.A. Colclough of the same
State and County in the sum of one hundred and
twenty eight & 25/100 dollars which said sum is covenanted
to be paid by his certain promissory note bearing date Feb-
ruary 10th 1883 and for the said sum of one hundred and
Twenty Eight & 25/100 Dollars bearing interest at the rate of Ten
% per annum from February 10th 1883. Now therefore to
better secure the payment of said note and interest as
expressed therein I do by these presents grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said W.A. Colclough his
heirs and assigns all my right title interest and
claim of in and to all the crops of whatever species
kind or description now growing or which may here
after be planted, grown or gathered by me or for me
or for my benefit on or off of any and all lands
in Alachua County Florida. Also the following described
property to wit: One Gray Horse about four years old
To have and to hold all and singular the crops lands
and personal property above bargained and sold
unto the said W.A. Colclough his heirs executors
administrators and assigns forever. Provided never-
theless that if the said Anthony Buchannan should well
and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said W.A. Col-
clough the full amount of said note together with the
interest according to its tenor and effect then this instru
ment to be void else to remain in full force and virtue
And it is hereby further agreed that should it become
necessary to enforce this instrument by legal proceedings
the said Anthony Buchannan will pay therefore all
attorneys fees, charges and expenses In witness whereof I
have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this
24th day of February AD 1883.
