 Mary E. Price To John J. Barr
             "Mortgage"
This Indenture made the 8th day of Jan AD Eighteen hundred and
eighty three between Mary E. Price and John W. Price of Marion
Co State of Florida^of the first part^and John J. Barr of the
2nd part Witnesseth that the said parties of the first part
in Consideration of the sum of Five hundred dollars to them
in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath
granted bargained sold aliened remised released Conveyed and
Confirmed and by these presents doth grant bargain sell alien
remise release Convey and Confirm unto the said party of the
Second part all that tract of land being situate and lying in
Alachua County and State aforesaid and known as the West 1/2
of the NE1/4 of Sect 15 T10 & R22 east together with all and
singular the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances there-
unto belonging or in anywise appertaining and the reversion and
reversions remainder and remainders rents issues and profits
thereof and also the estate right title interest claim and dem-
and whatsoever as well in law as in equity of the said parties of
the first part of in and to the Same. To have and to hold the above
granted and described premises with the appurtenances unto the
said party of the 2nd part his heirs and assigns to his and their
own proper use and behoof forever. Provided always and these
presents are upon this Condition that if the said parties of the first
part shall well and truly pay a Certain promissory note bearing
even date herewith given to the said party of the second part
and described as follows. "On the eight day of January
AD Eighteen hundred and Eighty four we promise to pay to
John J. Barr or bearer five hundred dollars for value recd
8 day of Jan 1883 Signed Mary E. Price John W. Price " according to the
tenor of said note then these presents should become void and
the estate hereby granted shall Cease and utterly determine.
In witness whereof the said parties of the first part to these
presents have hereunto set their hand & seals the day and
year first above written

Alachua County   } On this day personally appeared before me
Mary E. Price & John W. Price Grantors to me well known and
acknowledged that they executed the foregoing Mortgage
for the purposes therein expressed whereupon it is prayed that
the Same may be recorded In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal        }         Mary E. Price
the 8th day of Jany AD 1883 }         John W. Price

For and in consideration of the full and complete payment and satisfaction of the sum
 of money secured to be paid by the within mortgage I hereby cancel and discharge the
 same from Record in this the 20th day of March AD 1888
