   J.W. Barry To Jno B. Dell
             Mortgage
State of Florida Alachua County
Know all men by these presents That whereas J.W.
Barry of above State and County is indebted to Jno B.
Dell of the same State and County in the Sum of One hun-
dred & Forty dollars lawful money of the United States
which said Sum is expressed in one Certain promissory
note bearing date herewith and for the Said Sum of One
hundred & Forty dollars together with interest at 10 pr ct
from date. Now therefore to better secure the said Jno
B. Dell in full payment of said note and interest as
expressed I do by these presents grant bargain Sell
and Convey unto the said Jno B. Dell his heirs and
assigns all my right title interest and claim, of in and to
all the crops of whatsoever species kind or description
now growing or which may hereafter be planted grown
or gathered by me or for me or for my benefit on or off
of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida. Also
the following described property to wit:
One Black Mule about Ten years old and more particu-
larly known as the Mule I purchased from Jno B. Dell
this date. To have and to hold all and Singular the
Crops lands and personal property above bargained
and sold unto the said Jno B. Dell his heirs executors
administrators and assigns forever Provided Nevertheless
that if the said J.W. Barry should well and truly
pay or cause to be paid unto the said Jno B. Dell the
full amount of said note together with the interest
according to its tenor and effect then this instru-
ment to be void else to remain in full force and virtue
And it is hereby further agreed that should it become nec-
essary to enforce this instrument by legal proceedings
the said J.W. Barry will pay therefor all attorneys fees
charges and expenses
In Witness Whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix
my seal this 3 day of February AD 1882
