heaves at present & should the mare die I agree further
that whatsoever else I may have on my place the aforesaid
W.L. Jackson shall have to satisfy above amt if not en-

Alachua County } This indenture made and entered
into this 22nd day of February AD 1883, between Peter
Spann of the above named County and State of the
first part and Wilbur L. Jacckson of said County
and State party of the second part witnesseth that
the said parties of the first for and in consideration
of the sum of one thousand dollars & three in
hand paid whereof they do hereby acknowledge have
this day bargained sold and delivered and by these
presents do hereby bargain sell deliver and convey unto
the said Wilbur L. Jackson SE1/4 of SW1/4 of Section 32 T10
R18 East also SE1/4 of SE1/4 of sec 32 T10 R:8 East in
all (85) Eighty Acres also all crops of all kind which the
said parties of the first may make or cause to be made
through their labor or capital until above amount is paid
to have and to hold the above described property in fee
simple forever It is understood however that the foregoing
instrument is intended in the nature of a mortgage to secure
the said Wilbur L. Jackson in a full and faithful
payment by the first day of January AD 1884 of all
