     Andy Williams To W.A. Colclough

Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that whereas
Andy Williams of the above State and County is indebted to W.A.
Colclough of the same State and County in the sum of Three
hundred & thirty one & 50/100 dollars which said sum is covenan
ted to be paid by a certain promissory note bearing date March 10th
1883 and for the said sum of Three hundred & Thirty one & 50/100
dollars bearing interest at the rate of 12% per annum from the
1st day of January AD 1883. Now therefore to better secure the pay
ment of said note and interest as expressed therein I do by these
presents Grant bargain sell and convey unto the said W.A. Col
clough his heirs and assigns all my right title interest and
claim of in and to the crops of whatsoever species
kind or description now growing or which may hereafter be
planted grown or gathered by me or for me or for my benefit
on or off of any and all lands in Alachua County Florida Also
the following described property to wit: (1) one sorrel mule one
Black mule one two horse wagon To have and to hold all
and singular the crops lands and personal property above barga-
ined and sold unto the said W.A. Colclough his heirs executors
administrators and assigns forever Provided nevertheless that
if the said Andy Williams should well and truly pay or cause
to be paid unto the said W.A. Colclough the full amount of
said note together with the interest according to its tenor
and effect then this instrument to be void else to remain
in full force and virtue And it is hereby further agreed that
should it become necessary to enforce this instrument by
legal proceedings the said Andy Williams will pay therefor
all attorneys fees charges and expenses In witness where
of I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal
this 10th day of March AD 1883.
