            Samuel Colbert to Rufus A. Peck

State of Florida }
 Alachua County  } This indenture made and entered
into on this 24th day of January AD 1883 witnesseth that
Samuel Colbert in consideration of the sum of $500 dollars
already advanced by and now due to R.A. Peck by him
the said Samuel Colbert the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and for the further consideration that the said R.A. Peck
shall and will make such further reasonable amount of
advances in provisions merchandise and personal plantation supplies
as may be necessary to enable the said Samuel Colbert to
make harvest and prepare for market his crops of all
kinds during the year of AD 1883 such further advances
^to exceed forty dollars and for the further consideration
of one dollar in hand paid by these presents doth
bargain sell and convey unto the said R.A. Peck and
to his heirs and assigns all the right title interest and
claim of Samuel Colbert the said R.A. Pecks heirs
executors and administrators of in and to all the crops
of whatsoever species kinds or description now growing
or which may hereafter at any time in the future
be planted or grown or gathered by me or for me or for
my benefit in or off of any and all lands in Alachua
County Florida until the debt hereby secured with
interest is fully paid also the following described property
to wit one bay horse and all property of all description and
specie that I now own or may own hereafter to have and
to hold all and singular the crops and personal property
above bargained and sold unto the said R.A. Pecks heirs
executors administrators and assigns forever provided more
or less that if the said Samuel Colbert should well and 
truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said Rufus A. Peck the
full^of advances heretofore made and hereafter to be made
with the charges of commission and interest on the same
then this obligation to be void else to remain in full force
and virtue And it is further agreed that all mounts
heretofore and hereafter advanced are due and payable upon
delivery of the goods therefor and shall bear interest from^
accordingly and that the instrument of writing may be
inforced at any time at the option of the said R.A. Peck
and it is hereby further agreed that should it become
necessary to enforce this instrument by legal proceedings
the said Samuel Colbert will pay therefor all attorneys fees
charges and expenses In witness whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and affixed my seal this 24th day of
January AD 1883.
