certain promissory note bearing even date herewith one
for the sum of eighty dollars due and payable on October
12th 1883 without interest until after maturity and to bear 2%
per month after maturity and whereas I am desirous of fully
and better securing the payment of said note and the
sum of money mentioned therein therefor know all men by
these presents that I Westley Blak of Gainesville Alachua County
State of Florida for and in consideration of the premises and
of the sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant bargain
sell and convey unto the said H.F. Dutton & Co of Town County
and State aforesaid his heirs and assigns all the following
described piece parcel or tract of land to wit described in
the map of Goss Addition to the town of Gainesville as
block one (B) Rang Two (R2) Four Hundred Feet square
in section nine (S9) Township Ten (T10) Range Twenty (R20)
Together with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging To have and to hold the same unto the
said H.F. Dutton & Co in fee simple absolute forever Provided however
and these presents are upon this express consideration that if the
said Westley Blake his heirs or assigns shall well and truly
pay or cause to be paid the sum of money covenanted to be paid
by said note together with the interest to accrue thereon
according to the legal tenor thereof then this obligation
shall become null and void else to remain in full force and virtue
and it is hereby further agreed and stipulated that the said
Westly Blake will pay all expenses costs and attorneys fees which
the said H.F. Dutton & Co may be put to in enforcing the collection
of the aforesaid sum of money covenanted to be paid by said note
by foreclosure or otherwise In witness whereof have hereunto set
hand and affixed seal on this day of AD 188

 Alachua County  } I hereby certify that on this 12 day of
March AD 1883, before me personally appeared Mrs Eliza Blake
wife of Wesley Blake the grantor on the foregoing conveyance
who being first duly questioned and examined by me separate
and apart from her said husband says and acknowledges before
before me that she did sign the said conveyance for the
purpose of releasing relinquishing and renouncing all of her right
of dower in and to the land in said conveyance described and
made by her voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint
