the tenements hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging
To have and to hold the same unto the said H.F. Dutton & Co in fee
simple absolute forever Provided however and these presents
are upon this express consideration that if the said Joseph
N. Clinton his heirs or assigns shall well and truly pay or cause
to be paid the sum of money covenanted to be paid by
said note together with the interest to accrue thereon acc
ording to the legal tenor thereof then this obligation shall
become null and void else to remain in full force and virtue and
it is hereby further agreed and stipulated that the said Joseph
N. Clinton will pay all expenses costs and attorneys fees which
the said H.F. Dutton & Co may be put to in enforcing the col
lection of the aforesaid sum of money covenanted to be paid
by said note by foreclosure or otherwise. In witness where

of March AD 1883 before me personally appeared Mrs Joseph N.
Clinton the grantor in the foregoing conveyance who
being first duly questioned and examined by me sep
arate and apart from her said husband says and acknow
ledges before me that she did sign the said conveyance for
the purpose of releasing relinquishing and renouncing all of
her right of dower in and to the land in said conveyance
described and that said relinquishment and renunciation of
dower was done and made by her voluntarily and without
any compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from her
said husband.             }
