paid by the Said J.W. Williams as well as for the
further Consideration of an open account with the
said J.W. Williams for the year AD 1882 not to exceed
one hundred and forty ($14000) Dollars hath bargained
sold and delivered and by these presents doth bargain Sell
and deliver to the said J.W. Williams his heirs and assigns
to wit: NW1/4 of NW1/4 Sec (28) T(9) R(18) 40 acres more or less
also one Ball faced stallion horse three years old and
also all Crops of whatsoever kind or species grown by
me or for me for the said year, which the said Lucy Wright
& York Wright may make or Cause to be made through his
capital or labor on a certain place known as the Hawkins
place in the County of Alachua State aforesaid; the
said Crops to be delivered after maturity to the said J.
W. Williams on his demand and at the expense of
said Lucy Wright and York Wright. To have and to hold
the said described property unto the said J.W. Williams
his heirs administrators and assigns forever: And it is further
agreed by the said parties that the said Lucy Wright and
York Wright shall keep possession of the said Horse
for the purpose of making and gathering the said Crop
and at the risk of the said Lucy Wright & York Wright
And it is further agreed and stipulated by the said Lucy
Wright & York Wright that they hereby voluntarily waive
renounce and disclaim all rights or benefits whatever
of the so-called Exemption or Homestead Laws Hereby obli-
gating and binding said property the same as if no Such
Law or exemption existed. It is understood however that the
foregoing instrument is intended in the nature of a
Mortgage to secure the said J.W. Williams in a full and
faithful payment by the first day of November AD 1882
according to the terms and effect of this instrument
then the same to be null and void or else remain in full
force and virtue. In witness whereof I the said Lucy
Wright & York Wright have hereunto set my hands and
seals this day of AD 1888         her
