with the appurtenances unto the said party of the second
part as guardian as aforesaid his heirs and assigns
to him and their own proper use benefit and behoof forever
Provided always and these presents are upon this express
condition that if the said parties of the first part their
heirs executors or administrators or assigns the said
sum of money mentioned in said promissory notes
and the interest thereon at the time and in the manner
in the said notes according to the time intent and
meaning thereof that then these presents and the estate

into on this 16th day of March AD 1883, witnesseth that Reuben
Baskins in consideration of the sum of one dollar already
advanced by and now due to M.J. Harroll agt by him the
said Reuben Baskins the receipt whereof is hereby ack
nowledged and for the further consideration that the said
M.J. Harroll agt shall and will make such further reasonable
amount of advances in provisions merchandise and plan
tation supplies as may be necessary to enable the said Reuben
Baskins to make harvest and prepare for market his crop
of all kinds during the year AD 1883, such further advances not
