witnesseth that Alfred Hodge of said County and
State in consideration of the sum of Twenty five
dollars already advanced by and now due to the firm of
F.H. Butler of Levyville Levy County Florida by the
said Alfred Hodge the receipt thereof is hereby acknowle
dged and for the further consideration of one dollar in
hand paid by these presents doth grant bargain sell
and convey unto the said firm of F.H. Butler & Co
and to their heirs and assigns all the right title inter
est and claim of mine the said Alfred Hodge my
heirs Executors and administrators of in and to all
the crops of whatsoever species kind or description now
growing or which may hereafter at any time in 
the future be planted grown or gathered by me or
for me or for my benefit on or off of any and all
lands in Levy County Florida until the debt hereby
secured with interest is fully paid also the following
described following personal Property to wit One (1)
Bay horse 6 years old named starling and this
instrument is to have the full favor and effect of
mortgage and of alein under the Provisions of Chapter
1739 Laws of Florida entitled an act to enable Indigent
Persons to obtain credit and secure the Lender To
have and to hold all and singular crop and personal
property above bargained and sold unto the said firm
of F.H. Butler & Co and to their heirs executors and admin
istrators and assigns forever Provided nevertheless
that if the said Alfred Hodge shall well and truly
pay or cause to be paid unto the said F.H. Butler & Co
the full amount of the advances made Heretofore
and hereafter with their charges for commissions and
Interest on the same then this obligation to be void
else to remain in full force and virtue and it is
hereby further agreed that all amounts heretofore
and hereafter advanced are due and payable upon
delivery of goods therefor and shall bear interest accord
ingly and that this instrument may be enforced at any
time at the option of the said F.H. Butler & Co and it
is hereby further agreed that should it become neces
sary to enforce this Instrument by legal by legal procee
dings the said Alfred Hodge will pay therefor all reasonable
attorneys fees and charges in witness whereof I have here-
unto set my hand and affixed my seal the day and
year first above written
