of the town of Gainesville in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida of the second part witnesseth that the
said party of the first part in consideration of the sum of
Five dollars to them in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged hath granted bargained sold aleined remised
released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents doth
grant bargain sell alien remise release convey and conform
unto the said party of the second part and to his heirs and
assigns forever all that certain lot or parcel of land situated
in said State and County and described as follows viz
Lot Three (3) Block one (1) Range Four (4) in East Gainesv
ille according to the map of Ropers addition thereof Together
with all and singular the tenements hereditaments and appur
tenances thereunto belonging or in anywise appertaining and
the reversion and reversions remainder and remainders rents issue
and profits thereof and also all the estate right title interest
claim and demand whatsoever as well in law as in equity of
the said party of the first part of in and to the same To have
and to hold the above granted and described premises with
the appurtenances unto the said party of the second part heirs
and assigns to his and their own proper use benefit and behoof
forever Provided always and these presents are upon this cond
ition that if the said party of the first part shall well and truly
pay a certain promissory note bearing even date herewith given
to the said party of the second part and described as follows
$100 00/100 Twelve months after date we or either of us promises to pay
to Bart S. Foster or bearer one hundred dollars with interest at
the rate of eight per cent per annum from date executed by
the parties of of first part to the parties of the second part according
to the tenor of said note then these presents shall become void and
the estate hereby granted shall cease and utterly determine else
to remain in full force & virtue. In witness whereof the said parties
of the first part to these presents has hereunto set their hands

Alachua County } Be it remembered that on this the 16th
day of March AD 1883 personally came before me an acting Notary
Public Julia D. Finley wife of S.Y. Finley who upon an examin
ation by me held separate and apart from her husband
acknowledged that he did make sign seal and deliver the
foregoing deed of Mortgage and acknowledgment freely volun
tarily and with any compulsion constraint apprehension or
fear or or from the said husband and that said convey
ance is intended as a renunciation and relinquishment of
all her right of dower or other interest is said property
