of the first part have this day made Their three several
promissory notes bearing even dates with these presents each
for the sum of one hundred and Twenty five ($12500) and
bearing interest from date at the rate of Ten per cent per
annum payable respectively in one Two and three years
from date and have delivered the same to Col Wm A. Colclough
for the use and benefit of the said parties of the second part
Now therefore if the said parties of the first shall well
and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said parties
of the second part the said sums of money mentioned in the
said three several promissory notes at or before the Maturity
of the said notes Together with the accrued interest thereon
then this conveyance to become and to be entirely null and
void else to remain in full force and effect In testimony wher
eof the said parties of the first part have hereunto set their hands
and affixed their seals the day and year first above written

of March AD 1883, before me personally came Mrs A.L. Foster
and Thaddeus Foster her husband who acknowledged that they
executed the forgoing mortgage for the uses and purposes
therein set forth and the said Mrs A.L. Foster upon being
duly questioned and examined by me separate and apart
from her said husband says and acknowledges before me that
she did the same freely and voluntarily and without any
compulsion constraint apprehension or fear of or from her
said husband.
