interest or the principal or any part of either when due
by the terms of said note proceed to sell the property herein
before described at public auction upon the premises to the
highest bidder for cash after giving said J. Adger Clark
Ninety days notice of such sale and thirty days adver
tisement for the same in any newspaper published in the
town of Gainesville Florida and from the proceeds of such
sale the said W.R. Penniman Jr as Trustee as aforesaid
shall pay the expenses of the same then the said note and
all interest due thereon and the balance of such proceeds
if any there be he shall pay to the said Clark and
it is further understood and agreed that if the said J. Adger
Clark may at any time pryor to the date when said note
becomes due and upon giving six months notice to the
said Trustee pay the principal sum of said note with
interest that may be due hereon up to the date of such pay
ment In Testament whereof the said J. Adger Clark hath
hereunto set his hand and seal this 17th day of February

The following is an exact copy of the note within
refered to towit 4000 00/100 Five years from date I promise
to pay to Harriet Champion or order the sum of Four Thous
and Dollars borrowed money with interest therein at eight per
cent payable semi annually at the Bank of Ashville Given
at Ashville N.C. this 17th day of February AD 1883 and secur
ed by a Deed of Trust to W.R. Peniman Jr in the Island Grove
property in the County of Alachua State of Florida.
