Alachua County } This Indenture made and entered into
this the 27th day of March AD 1883 between Moses F. Fowler
party of the first part and Samuel B. Slaughter party
of the second part All of Alachua County Florida
Witnesseth whereas the said party of the second part at
the request of the said party of the first part has agreed to
make Certain advances in supplies and moneys to the party
of the first part to enable him to carry on and prosecute
farming operations on the farm belonging to said party
of the first part and known as his farm in said County
of Alachua in the State of Florida during the present year
AD 1883 and said advances not to exceed sixty ($6000) dollars
unless the party of the second part so elect.
Now therefore the party of the first part in Consideration of
the above agreement and of the sum of one dollar to him
in hand paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and for the purpose of better securing the party of the sec
ond part the said Saml B. Slaughter for all advances
made or to be made under the above agreement have
granted bargained and sold and do hereby grant bar-
gain and sell to the said Saml B. Slaughter party of the
