Alachua County   } This Indenture made on this the 8th day of
April AD 1882 Between John B. McCollum of the State and
County aforesaid party of the first part and William C.
Smith of the State and County aforesaid party of the
second part. Witnesseth That for and in Consideration
of the sum of Two hundred dollars in hand paid by
the party of the second part, the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged have given granted bargained sold released
and Confirmed and by these presents doth so give grant
bargain sell release and Confirm unto the party of the sec-
ond part the following lot or parcel of land to wit
All that Certain tract of land known and described 
as lying in the North East Corner of what is known as
lot Sixty Two (62) of the survey of what is known as the
Leightner Lands lying in the County of Alachua & State of
Florida and Commencing at the North East Corner of lot
Sixty two (62) and running thence West along the North line
of said lot thirty one rods and thirteen feet to a stone
and thence along the road from Arredondo to Micanopy
in a South Easterly direction to another stone, at the junction
of said line with the east line of said lot Sixty Two (62)
and thence along said East line of said lot Sixty Two
(62) Twenty Two Rods and Twelve feet to the point of be-
ginning and Containing Two and one fourth 2 1/4 acres
of land more or less. To have and to hold the above des
cribed lot of land together with all and Singular the
houses buildings and improvements rights titles and
interest thereto belonging or in any wise appertaining
unto the said party of the Second part & his heirs execu-
tors administrators and assigns for their own proper
use benefit & behoof forever. Conditioned however that
if the said John B. McCollum shall well and truly
pay or Cause to be paid to the said William C.
Smith party of the second part the Sum of Two hundred
dollars on the first day of August AD 1884 then this
obligation to become null and void otherwise to remain
in full force and virtue. In Witness Whereof the said
Jno B. McCollum has hereunto set his hand and
affixed his seal on this the day and year first above
