Columbus Wilkerson To Charles W. Bauknight

Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that
we Columbus Wilkerson and Lizzy Wilkerson of the
County of Alachua and State aforesaid for and in
Consideration of the Sum of $1626 to us in hand paid
and truly paid this day by Charles W. Bauknight Merchant
of the town of Archer County and State aforesaid the receipt
Whereof we do hereby acknowledge and for the further
Consideration of an open account with the said Charles
W. Bauknight until the first day of November AD 1883 not to
exceed ($3374} for the purpose of enabling us to make a general
Crop Have this day bargained sold and delivered and by these
presents do hereby bargain sell deliver and Convey unto the
said Charles W. Bauknight Merchant the SE1/4 of SE1/4 of Sec
20 T10 of R18 E Containing 40 acres under Section 2291 of
the revised statutes of the United States also all the general
growing Crop upon said described land planted by us
during the year 1883 to have and to hold the said described
land and Crop unto Charles W. Bauknight merchant his
heirs and assigns in fee Simple forever. Provided Neverthe-
less the within is Construed in the nature of a Mortgage and
Lien to Secure Charles W. Bauknight merchant the payment
of $50 on the 1st day of November AD 1883 and in default
of said payment Charles W. Bauknight merchant his
heirs or assigns are hereby authorized and duly empowered
by these presents to take possession of said land and Crop
and make Sale thereof to Satisfy all indebtedness that may
be due the said Charles W. Bauknight merchant on the
1st day of Novb AD 1883
In witness whereof we have hereto affixed our hands
and seals this the 7th day of April AD 1883 waiving the
benefit of the Homestead Laws of the State of Florida
