Alachua County } Know all men by these presents that we
James Page and Tilla Page of the aforesaid County and
Eight
State for and in Consideration of the Sum of Fifty^Dollars
and Twenty Cents ($5820) to us in hand paid by Charles W.
Bauknight merchant of the town of Archer County of
Alachua and State of Florida the receipt whereof we do
hereby acknowledge and for the further Consideration of an
open account with the said Charles W. Bauknight Merchant
until the first day of November AD 1883 not to exceed
forty one dollars and Eighty Cents ($41.80) have granted
bargained sold and Conveyed and by these presents do
grant bargain Sell and Convey unto the said Charles
W. Bauknight Merchant all of that Certain lot piece tract
or parcel of land Situated lying and being in the County of
Alachua in the State of Florida particularly known and
described as follows to wit, The South West Quarter (SW1/4)
of the South East Quarter (SE1/4) of Section four (4) Town-
ship Eleven (T11) South of Range Eighteen (18) East Containing
by estimation 39.96/100 acres of land more or less. Together
with all and Singular the tenements hereditaments and
appurtenances to the Same belonging or in anywise appertain-
ing also one yellow pided Ox marked or Branded QO
formerly the property of James Bauknight one white Ox
Branded MI and one Cart also all the general growing
Crop made by the said James Page and Tilla Page upon the
within described land or wherever they may plant for the
year 1883 To have and to Hold the Same unto the Said Charles
W. Bauknight merchant his heirs and assigns in fee Simple
forever as his and their absolute property in fee Simple forever
Provided Nevertheless that the within is Considered in the na-
ture of a Mortgage and Statutory Lien for the purpose of
Security to Charles W. Bauknight merchant the payment
of ($5820) this day advanced to us and the payment of $41.80
to be advanced to us for the purpose of enabling us to plant
and Cultivate said Crop for the year 1883 now if we shall
well and truly pay to Charles W. Bauknight Merchant
One hundred dollars on the first day of November AD
1883 then this to be null and void else to remain in full
force and virtue and it is expressly understood that in
default of the payment at the time specified Charles
W. Bauknight merchant is hereby empowered and duly
authorized by himself or heirs to take possession of said
property and make sale thereof to Satisfy all indebtedness
that may be due on the first day of November AD
