"Mortgage"
This Indenture made the First day of Mach in the
year of our Lord one thousand Eight hundred and eighty
three Between Robert W. Campbell and Fannie W. Campbell
Husband and wife parties of the first part and
Mrs Lydia J. Rexford of the Second part: Whereas the
said party of of the first part are justly indebted to
Mrs Lydia J. Rexford party of the Second part in the
Sum of Twelve Hundred ($1200) Dollars lawful money
of the United States of America the Same being
described in a Certain promisory note of even date herewith
for Twelve hundred dollars due and payable Three years
after date and bearing interest at the rate of (12) Twelve
per Cent per annum. Interest payable Semi annually
on the 1st of March and first of September of each
year until maturity - This note is Signed by Robert W.
Campbell. Now this Indenture witnesseth that the
said parties of the first part for the better Securing the
payment of the said Sum of Money mentioned in the
note for ($1200) Twelve hundred dollars and also for
and in Consideration of the Sum of Twelve hundred
Dollars to them in hand paid by the said party of the
second part at or before the ensealing and delivery of
these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl=
edged have granted bargained sold aliened remised
