      C.B. Dodd To B.C. Drake
            "Mortgage"
                               Whereas, I Carinus B.
Dodd of the aforesaid State and County am justly and
truly indebted unto Burt C. Drake in the sum of
One Thousand Dollars by my promissory note bearing
date with these presents which said note bears interest
from date at the rate of Ten (10) per centum per an-
num said interest to be paid Semiannually. And each
installment of interest to carry interest from the date
when due at the same rate of Ten (10) per centum per
annum Said note being payable five years (5) after the
date Thereof - And whereas I am desirous of fully and
effectually securing the payment of the said promis-
sory note the same having this day been given
by me for the purchase money of the parcel of land
herein mortgaged. Therefore, Know all men by
these presents that I the said Carinus B. Dodd
together with Mary C. Dodd my wife who joins
herein, for the purposes of releasing relinquishing and
renouncing all her right or possibility of right
or claim to Dower in and to the lot of land herein
described for and in consideration of the sum of One
Thousand Dollars so owing by the promissory note
aforesaid have granted bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed
and mortgaged and by these presents do grant bargain
sell, alien convey and mortgage unto the said Burt
C. Drake all of that certain Block, peice, parcel,
or tract of land, situated, lying and being in the State
of Florida particularly known and described according to the
original plan and survey and maps of the said town of
Gainesville as being Block One (1) of Range Seven (7)

In consideration of a reconveyance to me of the property conveyed by this Mortgage by deed executed
to me at the request of C.B. Dodd & wife by Thos L. Dodd & Wife dated the first day of October AD 1885
I hereby as a part of the consideration for the repurchase by me of said lot hereby cancel and forever
annull this mortgage executed to me by C.B. Dodd and wife this October 5th 1885
