State of Florida } I, R.F. Taylor, a notary public
 Alachua County  } in and for said County and State
do hereby certify that on this 16th Day of April
                        appeared
AD 1883 before me in person^Mrs Mary C.
Dodd wife of Carinus B. Dodd who being first
duly questioned and examined by me separate &
apart from her husband did upon such private
and separate examination, say and acknowledge before
me that she did execute, sign, seal and deliver the
foregoing mortgages, for the purpose of releasing relin-
quishing, and renouncing all her right and claim
or possibility of right or claim in and to the Block
of land in said mortgage described, and that such
release, relinquishment, and renunciation of Dower
was done,executed and made, by her freely and volunta-
ily and without any compulsion, constraint, apprehen-
sion or fear of or from her said husband.

                          Know all men by these pre
sents that I, Wesley Blake of the County of Alachua
State of Florida, for the consideration of Eighty One Dol
lars to me paid by J.B. Brown of Gainesville, Alach
-ua County, Florida, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowl-
edged have, and by these presents do give grant and
sell unto the said J.B. Brown his executors, admin-
istrators and assigns, the following property to wit: two
iron grey mules each about nine years old, to his use
forever. And I, the said Wesley Blake do hereby covenant
and agree with the said J.B. Brown that I am the
true and lawful owner of the said described property and
have full power to sell and dispose of the same.
            Upon condition that if the said Wesley
Blake shall and do well and truly pray unto the
