Alachua County } Whereas Robert Isaac of above
State and County is justly indebted to Geo K. Broome
Merchant of Gainesville same State and County in the
sum of Two hundred Sixteen 59/100 Dollars which said
sum of money is covenanted to be paid by one certain prom
issory note bearing even date herewith for the sum of Two
Hundred Sixteen 59/100 Dollars for money advanced to pay
for his land said note payable on or before the 1st January 1885
and bearing Interest at fifteen per cent per annum until paid
and whereas we are desirous of the better and more fully secu
ring the payment of said note and the sum of money
therein mentioned. Therefore know all men by these
presents, That we, Robert Isaac and Eliza Isaac his
wife for and in consideration of the premises and of the
sum of one Dollar to us in hand paid have granted
bargained sold and conveyed by these presents do grant
bargain sell and convey unto the said Geo K. Broome
his heirs and assigns all the following described peice parcel
or tract of land to wit: Situate and lying in Section Eigh
teen (18) Township Nine (9) and Range Twenty One (21) in
above State and County more particularly described as
follows to wit: Beginning at a point on the South line of
said section Twenty Six (26) chains and Thirty Three (33)
links East from the southwest corner of said section and
running thence Easterly along said south line of said section
Twenty Six chains (26) and Thirty Three (33) links, thence
northerly, parallel to the west line of said section (40) Forty
chains thence Westerly parallel to the first line Twenty
Six (26) chains and Thirty Three (33) links, And thence south
erly in straight line Forty (40) chains to the place of begin
ning Containing One hundred and five acres and Thirty Two
one hundredths (105. 32/100) of an acre more or less. Together
with all and singular the tenements, hereditaments and
appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have and to hold the
same unto the said Geo K. Broome his heirs or assigns
in fee simple absolute forever. Provided however and
these presents are upon this express consideration, that if
the said Robert Isaac and Eliza Isaac their heirs or
assigns shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid the
sum of money covenanted to be paid by said note together
with the interest to accrue thereon according to the legal
tenor thereof then this obligation to become null and void
else to remain of full force and virtue And it is hereby
further agreed and stipulated that he said Robert Isaac

mortgage I hereby cancel and discharge the same from record this the 10th day of Jany AD 1889
