     M.F. Miller To Hudson and French
           "Mortgage"
State of Florida }
Alachua County   }       Whereas Moseley Fitch Miller
of the County of Alachua State of Florida being justly indebted
to John W. Hudson and Myron B. French of the County of Dane
and State of Wisconsin in the sum of Seven hundred and
Fifty dollars which sum of money is covenanted to be paid
by three promissory notes bearing even date herewith, one for
the sum of Two hundred And fifty Dollars payable on or
before the fourth day of April 1884 with interest at the rate
of Eight percent per annum, One for the sum of Two
hundred and fifty dollars payable on or before the fourth Day of
April 1885 with interest at the rate of eight percent per
annum payable annually. One for the sum of Two
hundred and fifty Dollars payable on or before the fourth
day of April 1886 with interest at the rate of Eight per cent
per annum payable annually. All of the said notes are made
payable at H.F. Dutton and Co's Bank in Gainesville Florida
   And whereas he is desirous of better and fully securing
the payment of said notes and the sum of money men
tioned therein. Therefore Know all men by these presents
that I Moseley Fitch Miller for and in consideration of
the premises and of the sum of one dollar to me in hand
paid have granted bargained and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said John W. Hudson
and Myron B. French their heirs and assigns all the following
described peice parcel or tract of land towit Lot No Twenty
Six (26) as shown by the recorded plat of Mackey and Hudson
in Deed Book J on page Nine hundred and Six (906) of the
Public Records of Alachua County Florida, containing
by estimation Forty acres more or less and agreeable to a more
recent survey made by W.C. Miller in March 1883, and
lines and corners established by him.
     Together with all and singular the tenements heredita
ments and appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have
and to hold the same unto the said John W. Hudson and
Myron B. French in fee absolute forever.
     Provided however and these presents are upon this
express condition that if the said Moseley Fitch Miller
his heirs and assigns shall well and truly pay or cause
to be paid the said sum of money covenanted to be paid
by said notes together with the Interest to accrue thereon
according to the legal tenor thereof then this obligation
shall become null and void, else to remain in full
force and virtue. And it is hereby further agreed
and stipulated that the said Moseley Fitch Miller
will pay all expenses, costs and attorneys fees which
