all crops of Whatsoever species, kind or description
now growing or to be grown hereafter by the said Cato
Johnson and Phebe Johnson at any time in the future
      Together with all and singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging
To have and to hold the same unto the said James H.
Roper in fee simple absolute forever.
          Provided however and these presents are upon
that express consideration that the said Cato Johnson
and Phebe Johnson their heirs and assigns shall well and
truly pay or cause to be paid the sum of money covenan
ted to be paid by said notes together with the interest
to accrue thereon according to the legal tenor thereof, then
this obligation shall become null and void otherwise to
remain in full force and virtue, And it is hereby further
agreed and stipulated that the said Cato Johnson and
Phebe Johnson, will pay all expenses, costs and attorneys
fees which the said James H. Roper may be put to
in enforcing the collection of the aforesaid sum of money
covenanted to be paid by said note by foreclosure or other
wise        In witness whereof we have hereunto set

before me personally appeared Mrs Phebe Johnson wife of
Cato Johnson the grantor in the foregoing conveyance, who
being first duly questioned and examined by me separate

and apart from her^husband, says and acknowledges that
she did sign the said conveyance for the purpose of releasing
relinquishing and renouncing all of her right of Dower
in and to the land in said conveyance described, and
that said relinquishment and renunciation of Dower was
done and made by her voluntarily and without any compul
sion, constraint apprehension or fear of or from her said
