Alachua County } Whereas I, Solomon F. Halliday am
justly indebted to Ida E. Burnett of Gainesville Fla in the
sum of Eighteen Hundred Dollars which said sum of money
is covenanted to be paid by three certain promissory notes
bearing even date herewith one for the sum of Six hundred
Dollars due and payable on the twenty seventh day of Janu
ary AD 1884. One for Six hundred Dollars due and payable
on the twenty seventh day of January AD 1885 and one for
the Sum of Six hundred dollars due and payable on the
twenty seventh day of January AD 1886, All to bear inter
est at the rate of 8% per annum from date, interest payable
on said three notes each being for the sum of Six hundred
Dollars annually on the 27th day of January of each &
every year above mentioned. And whereas I am desir
ous of fully and better securing the payment of said note
and the sum of money mentioned therein. Therefore
know all men by these presents that I Solomon F.
Halliday for and in consideration of the premises and of
the sum of one Dollar to me in hand paid have granted
bargained and sold and by these presents do grant
bargain, sell, and convey unto the said Ida E. Burnett
her heirs and assigns all the following described piece
parcel or tract of land, towit: Commencing at the South
east corner of Lot One (1) Block five (5) Range Three (3)
in the Town of Gainesville Alachua County Florida
as shown by the original survey of said Town of Gaines
-ville, a map or plat of which is duly recorded in
Alachua County and running North One hundred
and Twenty feet (120) Thence West One hundred and
Twenty four (124) feet Thence South One hundred
And twenty feet (120). Thence East One hundred and
twenty four (124) feet to the place of beginning
Containing Fourteen Thousand Eight hundred and
Eighty (14880) square feet.
Together with all and singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging
To have and to hold unto the said Ida E. Burnett
in fee simple absolute forever
Provided however and these presents are
upon this express condition that if the said
Solomon F. Halliday his heirs or assigns
shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid
the sum of money covenanted to be paid by said
note together with the interest to accrue thereon

For value received I hereby acknowledge full and complete satisfaction
and discharge and cancellation of this Mortgage this 5th day of March AD
1884 }
