according to the legal tenor thereof then this obli
gation shall become null and void, else to remain
in full force and virtue. And it is hereby further
agreed and stipulated that the said Solomon F.
Halliday will pay all expenses costs and attorneys
fees which the said Ida E. Burnett may be put
to in enforcing the collection of the aforesaid sum
of money covenanted to be paid by said notes, by
foreclosure or otherwise
