Oscar D. Morris and Wife To A.J. Vidal

Alachua County   } Whereas Oscar D. Morris husband of Lola Morris hereinafter
made a party hereto has this day sold and conveyed to A.J. Vidal of
Gainesville in said State and County that certain parcel of land
situated and lying in the Town of Gainesville in Alachua County
State of Florida known and described as being the North half of Lot
one (1) of Block Three (3) of Range seven (7) according to the original
plans of said Town of Gainesville and has received from said A.J. Vidal in
part payment therefor the sum of Twelve hundred and fifty ($125000)
Dollars and whereas there exists a certain defect or irregularity in the
title to said Lot of land above described in a certain Deed thereto
heretofore made by Mary A. Myers and her husband Frank Myers
former owners thereof to Thaddeus Foster which defect or irregularity
the said O.D. Morris has agreed to rectify clear up or remove within
Nine (9) months from this date - and whereas the said Oscar D. Morris
has agreed and bound himself to pay back to the said A.J. Vidal
the said sum of Twelve hundred and fifty ($125000) Dollars in the
event at the end of Nine (9) months from the date hereof the said
O.D. Morris shall find it utterly impossible to rectify clear up
or remove the said defect and irregularities in said title to said Lot
of land above described and whereas we Lola Morris and her said
husband the said Oscar D. Morris are anxious and desirous to fully
and effectually secure to the said A.J. Vidal the full and true payment
of said sum of Twelve hundred and fifty Dollars in the event the
said Oscar D. Morris shall at the end of Nine months from the date
hereof find it utterly impossible to rectify remove or clear up
the said defect in the title to the said lot of land above described
Therefore the premises considered know all men by these presents that
we the said Lola Morris and Oscar D. Morris her husband for and
in consideration of the premises have granted bargained sold
conveyed and Mortgaged: and by these presents do grant bargain
sell convey and mortgage unto him the said A.J. Vidal all of
that certain other Lot tract or parcel of land now owned as her
separate estate and property by the said Lola Morris Situated
lying and being in the Town of Gainesville in Alachua
County in the State of Florida particularly known and described
as being a part or portion of the East half of the West half of
Lot No Twenty (20) of "Brush's addition" to the said Town of
Gainesville commencing at the South West corner of the Lot
or parcel of land in said Town of Gainesville conveyed by
Lucy M. Bowden and John R. Bowden by Deed dated
February 11th AD 1876 to Charlotte Dumas and from thence
running West Fifty two and a half (52 1/2) feet thence North
Two hundred (200) feet thence East Fifty two and a half (52 1/2)
feet thence South Two hundred 200 feet to the place of
beginning Together with all and singular the tenements heredit=

For value received I hereby acknowledge full and complete satisfaction
and final discharge of this Mortgage this the 4th day of July AD 1883
