ments and appurtenances to the same belonging or in anywise appertaining
To Have and to Hold the same unto him the said A.J. Vidal and to his
heirs executors administrators and assigns forever= Provided always
nevertheless and this instrument is executed and delivered upon this expressed
condition that if the said Oscar D. Morris shall and does well and
truly pay or cause to be paid to the said A.J. Vidal the said sum
of Twelve hundred and fifty Dollars at the end of Nine (9) months
from the date hereof without interest in the event at the
end of said Nine (9) months from the date hereof the said Oscar
D. Morris shall find it utterly impossible to clear up or remove
or rectify the said defect or irregularity in the said title
to the said Lot of Land so sold and conveyed as aforesaid by
him to said A.J. Vidal then this instrument to be wholly null
and void otherwise to be and remain in full force and virtue

County & State aforesaid do hereby certify that on this 8 day
of May AD 1883 before me in person appeared Ms Lola Morris
wife of Oscar D. Morris to me well and personally known who being
first duly questioned and examined by me Separate and apart
from her said husband did say and acknowledge before me that
she did execute sign seal and deliver the foregoing Mortgage of
her separate estate and property to A.J. Vidal for the uses
and purposes therein contained and expressed freely and
voluntarily and without any compulsion constraint apprehension 
or fear of or from her said husband
