       Margaret Owens To Taylor And Sanchez

Alachua County   } Whereas I, Margaret Owens (femme
sole} of the aforesaid State and County, am indebted unto
E.C.F. Sanchez and A.F. Taylor as partners composing
the law firm of Taylor and Sanchez of Gainesville Fla
by my promissory note bearing even date with these
presents in the sum of Eighty five ($8500} Dollars paya
ble Three months after date and bearing interest at the rate
of twelve (12) per cent per annum.- And whereas I am
desirous of fully and effectually securing the payment
of said sum of money the same being for moneys expended
by said Taylor and Sanchez for my use and benefit in re
covering my lot of land hereinafter described from a tax sale
thereof to one Wm F. Flynn. Therefore know all men
by these presents that I the said Margaret Owens for
and in consideration of the premises and the said sum
of money so owing by me as aforesaid have granted bar
gained and sold aliened conveyed and mortgaged and

by these presents do grant bargain^alien convey and mortgage
unto them the said Taylor and Sanchez all of that
tract piece or parcel of land situated lying and being
in the NW1/4 of Section Five (5) in Township Ten (10)
south of Range Twenty (20) East in Alachua County
State of Florida the same being more particularly
known and described as being the North half of Lot
Nº Fifteen (15) of Brown's addition to the Town of
Gainesville Florida, containing five (5) acres more
or less. Together with all and singular the tenements
hereditaments and appurtenances to the same belonging
or in anywise appertaining. To Have and to Hold the
same unto the said E.C.F. Sanchez and R.F. Taylor
composing said law firm of Taylor & Sanchez and to their heirs
executors administrators and assigns forever. Provided always never
the less, and this instrument is executed and delivered upon this
expressed condition that if the said Margaret Owens shall
well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the said
Taylor & Sanchez the full amount of said promisso
ry note for the sum of Eighty five dollars at the date the
same falls due together with all interest thereon to
accrue according to the legal tenor and effect of said
promissory note then this instrument to become wholly
