Alachua County   } being duly sworn says that he saw Robt
B. Mott sign seal and deliver the foregoing instrument of
writing for the uses and purposes as therein contained and

    Spann Wood To J.W. Williams
            "Mortgage"
State of Florida }
Alachua  County  } Whereas we Spann Woods and
Mary Woods his wife justly indebted to James W.
Williams in the sum of sixty two Dollars which said
sum of Money is covenanted to be paid by a certain prom
issory note bearing even date herewith for the sum of
Sixty two dollars. And Whereas we are are desirous of fully
and better securing the payment of said note and the sum
of money mentioned therein Therefore know all men
by these presents that we Spann Wood and
   Woods
Mary^his wife for and in consideration  of the prem
ises and of them sum of one dollar to them in hand
paid, have granted, bargained, and sold and by these presents
do grant bargain, sell and convey unto the said James W.
Williams his heirs and assigns all the following descri
bed peice, parcel or tract of land towit: The North East
quarter of the South West quarter of section Twenty
eight, Township Ten, South of Range Eighteen East.
Also 1 Bay Horse Branded H on the right shoulder
also all the crops that may be made on the place until
payment of the note. Together with all and singular the
tenements, hereditaments and appurtenances thereunto belonging
To have and to hold unto the said James W. Williams in fee
simple absolute forever Provided however, and these presents
are upon this express consideration that if the said Spann
Wood and Mary Woods his wife, heirs or assigns shall
well and truly pay or cause to be paid the sum of money
covenanted to be paid by said note together with the
interest to accrue thereon according to the legal tenor
thereof then this obligation shall become null and
void else to remain in full force and virtue And it
hereby
is^further agreed and stipulated that the said
