State of Florida } Know all men by these presents that
Alachua County   } whereas I am engaged in the business
of farming in the County of Alachua and wheres I
am for the purpose of carrying on said business desirous of obtain
ing an advance of goods - general merchandise and farm sup
plies such as flour, meal, grits coffee tobacco &c from
F. Cottrell & Co of Old Town Lafayette Co Fla. Now this
instrument of writing is for the purpose of declaring
that I consent that the said F. Cottrell & Co shall have
the Statutory lien provided by the laws of Florida
for farmers and do hereby for said advances made and
to be made give said lien on my entire crops of corn, cotton,
cane and potatoes now growing and that may be made
in said County during the year 1883. In Witness
Whereof I have hereto set my hand & seal this the 28th
day of April AD 1883.
