Alachua County } This Indenture entered into this 14th day of
April AD 1883 Witnesseth that Marshall Wideman in consideration of the
sum of Forty Four dollars already advanced by and now due to A.B. Edgell
by him the said Marshall Wideman the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and for the further consideration that the said A.B. Edgell shall and will make
such further reasonable amount of advances in provisions merchandise and plantation
supplies as may be necessary to enable the said Marshal Wideman to make harvest
and prepare for market His crops of all kinds during the year AD 1883 such
further advances not to exceed Twenty one dollars and for the further consideration
of one dollar in hand paid by these presents doth grant bargain sell and
convey unto the said A.B. Edgell and to his heirs and assigns all the right title
interest and claim of him the said Marshal Wideman his heirs executors and
administrators of and to all the crops of whatsoever species kind or description
now growing or which may hereafter at anytime in the future be planted grown or
gather by me or for me or for my benefit in or off of any and all lands in Alachua
County Florida until the debt hereby secured with interest is fully paid; also the
following described property to wit: One Mouse Colored Mare Mule about Nine
Years old - To Have and to Hold all and singular the crops lands and
personal property above bargained and sold unto the said A.B. Edgell his heirs
executors administrators and assigns forever. Provided nevertheless that if the said
Marshal Wideman should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the
said A.B. Edgell the full amount of the advances heretofore made and hereafter to
be made with the charges for commissions and interest on the same then this obligation
to be void else to remain in full force and virtue. And it is further agreed that all amounts
heretofore and hereafter advanced are due and payable upon delivery of the goods
therefor and shall bear interest accordingly and that this instrument may
be enforced at anytime at the option of the said A.B. Edgell And it is further
agreed that should it become necessary to enforce this instrument by legal
proceedings the said Marshal Wideman will pay therefor all attorneys fees
charges and expenses. In Witness Whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this 14th day of April AD 1883
