J.H.M. Huggins to A.B. Edgell

Alachua County   } This Indenture made and entered into on this 10th day of April
AD 1883 Witnesseth that J.H.M. Huggins in consideration of the sum of
Fifty Dollars already advanced by and now due to A.B. Edgell
by him the said J.H.M. Huggins the receipt whereof is hereby
acknowledged and for the further consideration that the said
A.B. Edgell shall and will make such further reasonable amount
of advances in provisions merchandise and plantation
supplies as may be necessary to enable the said J.H.M.
Huggins to make harvest and prepare for market his
crops of all kinds during the year AD 1883, such further
advances not to exceed __ __ __ dollars and for the further con
sideration of one dollar in hand paid, by these presents doth
grant bargain sell and convey unto the said A.B. Edgell
and to his heirs and assigns all the right title interest and
claim of him the said J.H.M. Huggins his heirs, executors
and administrators, of in and to all the crops of whatsoever
species kind or description now growing or which may be
hereafter at any time in the future be planted grown or
gathered by me or for me or for my benefit in or off of
any or all lands in Alachua County, Florida until the
debt hereby secured with interest is fully paid, also the
following described property, towit: The North 1/2 of Lot Three
(3) and the North 1/2 of the South 1/2 of Lot Number Three (3)
and South 1/2 of Lot Two (2) and the North 1/2 of the South
East 1/4 of the South West 1/4 of Section Eight (8) of Township
Eight (8) South of Range Eighteen East containing 120 acres
more or less. To have and to hold all and singular the
crops, lands and personal property above bargained and sold
unto the said A.B. Edgell his heirs, executors administrators
and assigns forever. Provided nevertheless that if the said J.H.
M. Huggins should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto
the said A.B. Edgell the full amount of the advances heretofore
made and hereafter to be made with the charges for commissions
and interest on the same then this obligation to be void else to remain
in full force and virtue. And it is further agreed that all amounts hereto
fore and hereafter advanced are due and payable upon delivery of
the goods therefor and shall bear interest accordingly and that this instru
ment may be enforced at any time at the option of the said A.B. Edgell
And it is hereby further agreed that should it become necessary to enforce
this instrument by legal proceedings the said J.H.M. Huggins will
pay therefor all attorneys fees charges and expenses. In Witness Whereof
