one bay mule named Jennie. To have and to hold all and
singular the crops lands and personal property above bargained
and sold unto the said L.A. Barnes heirs executors adminis
trators and assigns forever Provided nevertheless that if the said
Kinchen Willis should well and truly pay or cause to be paid
unto the said L.A. Barnes the full amount of the advances here

tofore made and hereafter to be made with^charges for commissions
and interest on the same then this obligation to be void else to re
main in full force and virtue. And it is further agreed that
all amounts heretofore and hereafter advanced are due and payable
upon delivery of the goods therefor and shall bear interest accord 
ingly, and that this instrument may be enforced at any time at
the option of the said L.A. Barnes. And it is hereby further
agreed that should it become necessary to enforece this instru
ment by legal proceedings the said Kinchen Willis will pay
therefor all attorneys fees charges and expenses. In Witness Where

whereas I Reuben Baskins of above State and County am
indebted to G.K. Broome of the same State and County
in the sum of Twenty dollars lawful money of the Uni
ted States which said sum is expressed in one certain
promissory note bearing date 15th of April 1882 and
for the sum of Twenty dollars together with interest
at _____ Now therefore to better secure G.K. Broome
in full payment of said note and interest as expressed
