George W. Holden To H.F. Dutton & Co
             "Mortgage"

State of Florida }
Alachua County   } Whereas I George W. Holden
am justly indebted to H.F. Dutton & Co in the Sum of
Four hundred dollars which said sum of money is
Covenanted to be paid by one certain promissory note
bearing even date herewith one for the sum of Four
hundred dollars due and payable six months after
date with interest from date at the rate of ten per
Cent per annum. And whereas I am desirous of fully
and better Securing the payment of said note and
the sum of money mentioned therein. Therefore know
all men by these presents that we George W. Holden
and Elizabeth Holden husband and wife for and
in Consideration of the premises and of the Sum of
one Dollar to us in hand paid have granted bargained
and sold and by these presents do grant bargain sell
and Convey unto the said H.F. Dutton & Co their heirs and
assigns all the following described piece parcel or tract of
land to wit: Situated lying and being in the County of
Alachua State of Florida: Commencing at the South East
Corner of Mrs Evans lot, North Seven Chains and Ninety
Seven links to the South side of Alachua Avenue
thence East to the Fla RRd Seven Chains, thence South
- degrees West along said RRd Nineteen Chains
and thirty links to a branch thence North West up the
run of said branch to a stake due East of of the
SE Corner of E. Jones lot and due South of 
the South West Corner of Mrs Evans lot thence 
North to the SW Corner of Mrs Evans lot thence East
to the place of Commencement (all measurements more or less)
Containing Eight acres more or less and being in
Section Four (4) Township Ten (10) Range Twenty (20) S&E
Together with all and singular the tenements hereditam-
ents and appurtenances thereunto belonging. To have
and to hold the Same unto the said H.F. Dutton & Co
