Levi Hutchinson To Geo K. Broome
            "Mortgage"
State of Florida, Alachua County
Know all men by these Presents that Whereas I Levi
Huchinson of the above State and County am indebted
to G.K. Broome of the Same State and County in the
Sum of one hundred dollars lawful money of the
United States which said Sum is expressed in one
Certain promissory note bearing date 5th March 1883
and for the said Sum of one hundred dollars together
with interest at one per Cent per Month. Now therefore to
better secure said G.K. Broome in full payment of
said note and interest as expressed I do by these presents
grant bargain sell and Convey unto the said G.K. Broome
his heirs and assigns all my right title interest and claim
of in and to all the crops of whatsoever species kind
or description now growing or which may hereafter be
planted grown or gathered by me or for me or for my
benefit on or off of any and all lands in Alachua
County Florida. Also the following described property
to wit: One (1) Sorrel Pony Horse Blaze in face Bought
this day of said G.K. Broome & I hereby authorize said G.K.
Broome to enter into possession of said personal prop-
erty & sell as he thinks best & apply to my note should it
not be settled at maturity. To have and to hold all
and singular the Crops lands and personal property
above bargained and sold unto the said G.K. Broome
his heirs administrators and assigns forever  
Provided Nevertheless that if the said Levi Hutchinson
should well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the
said G.K. Broome the full amount of said note
together with the interest according to its tenor and effect
then this instrument to be void else to remain in full
force and virtue. And it is hereby further agreed that
should it become necessary to enforce this instrument
by legal proceedings the said Levi Hutchinson
will pay therefor all attorneys fees Charges and expenses
