Mattie F. & Wm M. Knox which payment if duly made
will render this Conveyance Void: And if default shall
be made in the payment of above described note then
the said party of the Second part or his executor ad-
ministrators or assigns are hereby authorized to sell the
Lot above granted to Satisfy Amt mentioned together
with all costs & expenses including attorneys fees --

that Mattie F. Knox to me well known as the wife
of Wm M. Knox and as one of the parties who exe-
cuted the foregoing Mortgage Deed did this day to
me separate and private from her said husband
acknowledge & declare she executed the Same for the
purpose^of^relinquishing her right of dower to the
lot mentioned upon the non fulfillment of the promise
to pay the Amt described in this Mortgage and she did
it freely & voluntarily without fear of or from her said
