Clarence Fleming To G.K. Broome
              "Mortgage"
State of Florida, Alachua County,
Know all men by these presents that whereas Clarence
Fleming of above State and County am indebted to
G.K. Broome of the Same State and County in the Sum
of Thirty Five 35/100 Dollars lawful money of the United
States which Said Sum is expressed in one certain prom
issory note bearing date 10th day Jany 1880 and for the said
Sum of Thirty Five & 35/100 dollars together with interest at
15% after maturity. Now therefor to better secure said
G.K. Broome in full payment of said note and interest
as expressed I do by these presents grant bargain sell
and Convey unto the said G.K. Broome his heirs and assigns
all my right title interest and claim of in and to all the
Crops of whatsoever species kind or description now growing
or which may hereafter be planted grown or gathered by me
or for me or for my benefit on or off of any and all lands
in Alachua County Florida. Also the following described
property to wit: One (1) Ox white with Black Head
& Black feet 2 Black Spots on one Side & one on the
other To have and to hold all and Singular the Crops
lands and personal property above bargained and
Sold unto the said G.K. Broome his heirs executors ad-
ministrators and assigns forever. Provided nevertheless
that if the Said Clarence Fleming should well and truly
pay or cause to be paid unto the said G.K. Broome the
full amount of said note together with the interest
according to its tenor and effect then this instrument
to be void else to remain in full force and virtue.
And it is hereby further agreed that should it become
necessary to enforce this instrument by legal proceedings
the said Clarence Fleming will pay therefor all attorneys
fees charges and expenses.
In Witness Whereof I hereunto set my hand and affix
my seal this 10th day of Jany AD 1883
