Alachua County   } This Indenture made and entered
into this the 28th day of February AD 1882 Witnesseth
that Jehu Knighton in Consideration of the Sum of
Fifty Dollars already advanced by and now due to
the firm of Turner & Butler of Levyville Levy County
Florida by me the said Jehu Knighton by my
note the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged
and for the further Consideration of one dollar in
hand paid by these presents doth grant bargain
Sell and Convey unto the said firm of Turner &
Butler and to their heirs and assigns all the right
title interest and claim of mine the said Jehu Knighton
my heirs executors and administrators of in and to all
the Crops of whatsoever species kind or description
now growing or which may hereafter at any time in
the future be planted grown or gathered by me or for
me or for my benefit on or off of any and all lands
in Alachua County Florida until the debt hereby sec-
ured with interest is fully paid Also the following
described property towit: One Sorrell Horse Eight (8)
years old Called "Celam" and this instrument is to
have the full favor and effect of a Mortgage and a
lien under the provision of Chapter 1939, Laws of Florida
entitled an act to enable indigent persons to obtain
credit and secure the lender. To have and to hold all
and Singular Crops and personal property above bargained
and sold unto the said firm of Turner & Butler and to
their heirs executors administrators and assigns forever
Provided Nevertheless that if the said Jehu Knighton
shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid unto the
said Turner & Butler the full amount of the advances
heretofore made with their Charges for Commissions and
