or cause to be paid unto the said Wheeler & Wilson Mfg
Co the full amount of said note together with the inter
est according ro its tenor and effect then this instrument
to be void else to remain in full force and virtue and it
is hereby further agreed that should it become necessary
to enforce this instrument by Legal proceedings the said
W.M. Rountree will pay therefor all attorneys fees and
Expenses In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand

James A. Carleton To R.B. Weeks & Son
               "Mortgage"
This Indenture, made the 23d day of Feby in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and
Eighty three Between James A. Carleton of the County
of Alachua and State of Florida and Robert B.
Weeks and Madison E. Weeks doing business under
the firm name and stile of R.B. Weeks & Son also of
said State and County of the second part, whereas the
said James A. Carleton party of the first part is
justly indebted to said R.B. Weeks & Son party of the
Second part in the Sum of one hundred and fifty
($150OO) Dollars lawful money of the United States
of America to be advanced to said Carleton in
provisions and other necessary supplies for Carrying
on his farm. Now this Indenture Witnesseth, that the Said party
at the first part for the better Securing of the pay-
ment of the said Sum of money mentioned
