until Said Sum of money Shall have been paid with
the interest thereon: and do also Sell Convey and Confirm
and transfer to the said party of the second part
the amount or amounts of rent due or to become
due (to wit ($10000) by or from Haywood Bell for the
use and occupation of Seventy Five acres of land
Situated in Alachua County Florida for me & in
my behalf. To have and to hold the said property
unto the Said property unto the said party of the
Second part and to his heirs and assigns forever
All and Singular the said crops and rents and all
and every interest therein: and doth hereby Covenant
to and with the said party of the second part that
I the said party of the first part hath good and
lawful right to sell Convey and transfer the Same
and that the Same is entirely free from any and
all encumbrances whatsoever. Provided nevertheless
and these presents are upon this Condition that
whereas the said Thomas J. May has this day
borrowed of & from the said James R. Crawford
the Sum of one hundred & ninety Dollars as
Evidenced by a promissory note of even date
herewith due on the 1st day of December AD 1883
and whereas the said Thomas J. May is desirous
of Securing the payment of the said note:
Now therefore if the said Thomas J. May shall well
and truly pay or Cause to be paid to the said
James R. Crawford the amount of the said note
together with interest thereon at one and one a half
per Cent per month from date until paid and
also all expenses incurred in the Collection of the
Same including reasonable attorneys fees then
this obligation to become null and void else to
remain of full force and virtue. Witness the hand
& seal of the Said party of the first part on the
day & year first above written
