to me well known as the wife of William B. Lipsey and as
one of the persons described in and who executed the foregoing
Mortgage Deed did this day to me on a separate and private ex
amination before me taken and made separately and apart from
her said husband acknowledge and declare that she made her
self a party to and executed the same for the purpose of relinq
uishing her interest in and to the lands in said Conveyance
described and granted and that she has done this freely and
voluntarily and without any constraint apprehension fear or
compulsion of or from her said husband the said William B.

                  "Mortgage" 
 This Indenture made the 24th day of August in the
year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and Eig
ty three Between William H. Traxler of Alachua County
Florida party of the first part and W.O. Tison of the
County of Bradford of the Second part whereas the
said William H. Traxler is justly indebted to W.O.
Tison party of the second part in the sum of
six hundred and fifty Dollars lawful money of
the United States of America which is further evid
ence by a certain promissory note of even date
with these presents for six hundred and fifty
dollars bearing Interest from date at four and
one half per ct per month until paid Now this
Indenture Witnesseth that the said party of the first
part for the better securing of the payment of the said
sum of Money mentioned in said promissory note
