that he saw Charlott E. Knox sign theforegoing Mortgage
and acknowledge she did so for the uses and purposes
therein expressed and that he together with J.W. Smith
signed the same as subscribing witnesses sworn to and
subscribed before me this 6th day of April 1883.

Mercie F. Boardman and Charles A. Boardman to Mary Lente
"Mortgage"
This Indenture made the 19th day of July one Thousand
Eight and Eighty three between Mercie F. Boardman and
Charles A. Boardman her husband of Florida parties of the
first part and Mary Lente wife of Fredk D. Lente of
Florida party of the second part Whereas the said Mercie
F. & Charles A. Boardman are Justly indebted to the said
Mary Lente party of the second part in the sum of
Fifteen Hundred ($1500.00) Dollars lawful money of the United
States of America with interest to accrue evidenced by
promissory note of which the following is a copy
($150000) Palatka Fla July 19th 1883
Two years after date date we promise to pay to Mary
Lente or order the sum of fifteen hundred Dollars
($1500.00) with interest thereon from date at the rate of
Ten per cent (10%) per annum and payable semi-
Annually at the banking house of W.J. & Co
Palatka Fla till this note is paid Value Received

Now this Indenture Witnesseth that the said parties of the
first part for securing the payment of the said moneys
mentioned in the said promissory note and moneys herein
mentioned and in consideration of the sum of one dollar
to them in hand paid by the said party of the second
part at or before the delivery of these presents the receipt
whereof is hereby acknowledged have granted bargained sold
released conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do
grant bargain sell release convey and confirm unto the
said party of the second part and her heirs and assigns
forever all the following described land situate in the

For and in Consideration of the full and complete
payment of this mortgage I hereby acknowledge full
and complete satisfaction of this mortgage of
record this 22nd day of December AD 1885
