  John Campbell to James R. Crawford
               "Mortgage"
State of Florida } Whereas we John Campbell and Eliza
Alachua County   } Campbell his wife of the aforesaid County
and State and Justly indebted to James R. Crawford of
the same place in the sum of One Hundred ($100) dollars which
said sum of money is covenanted to be paid by a certain
promissory note bearing even date herewith one for the sum of
One Hundred Dollars due Twelve months after date to James R.
Crawford or order with interest from date at the rate of Two
(2) per cent per month until paid and given by the said John
Campbell. And whereas we are desirous of fully and better
Securing the payment of said note and the sum of money
mentioned therein. Therefor know all men by these presents
that we John Campbell and Eliza Campbell for and in
Consideration of the premises and of the sum of one dollar to us
in hand paid have granted bargained and sold and by
these presents do grant bargain sell and convey unto the said
James R. Campbell his heirs and assigns all the following
described piece parcel or tract of land to wit Beginning at a
point forty (40) ft South of where the Western boundary line of
