State of Florida } Whereas I have this day purchased of T.H. Bevill a certain
Alachua County   } roan Colt about three years old and am still due him the
sum of seventy five dollars therefor with interest at 15 per cent pr annum
agreeably to the tenor and effect of a certain promissory note bearing even date
with these presents Now know all men by these presents that I hereby
Mortgage to the said Bevill for the secure payment of said sum and Interest
the said Roan Colt and pledge myself not to part with sell or swap said
Colt without the written permission of said Bevill and if I should part
with the possession of said Colt then this obligation is due and payable
and he shall have full power to seize said Colt and foreclose this instrument
of Mortgage and to further secure him in the payment of said sum and
interest I hereby mortgage a certain colt about one year old of Bay color
and all the crops of whatsoever description to be raised by me during the
year AD 1884 for the Satisfaction of said demand and should it be necessary
to enforce this instrument by legal process I agree to pay therefor all reasonable
attornies fees and charges and upon payment by me of the above claim
then this obligation to be null and void. Else to remain in full force
and virtue In testimony whereof I have herewith set my hand and
seal this fourteenth day of September AD 1883
