         County  } Whereas we Bryant Pierce and
Anna P. Pierce justly indebted to Mrs Fielding P.
Chamberlain in the sum of Five hundred dollars
which said Sum of money is covenanted to be paid
by our Certain promissory note bearing even date
herewith: And whereas we are desirous of fully and
better securing the payment of said note and the
Sum of money mentioned therein Therefore know all
men by these presents that we Bryant Pierce and
Anna P. Pierce for and in consideration of the prem-
ises and of one dollar to us in hand paid have
granted bargained sold and Conveyed and by
these presents do grant bargain Sell and Convey
unto the said Mrs Fielding P. Chamberlain her heirs
and assigns all the following described piece parcel
or tract of land situated lying and being in the County
of Alachua State of Florida, to wit:
The N 1/2 of Block Six (6) Range Three (3) in the
Town of Gainesville State of Florida. Together with
all and singular the tenements hereditaments and ap-
purtenances to the Same belonging or in any
wise appertaining. To have and to Hold the same
unto the Said Mrs Fielding P. Chamberlain her
heirs and assigns forever. Provided however and these
presents are upon this Express Condition that if the
said Bryant Pierce and Anna P. Pierce his heirs or
assigns shall well and truly pay or cause to be paid
the Sum of money Covenanted to be paid by said note
together with the interest to accrue thereon according to the
legal tenor and effect thereof then this obligation
shall become null and void otherwise to remain in
full force and virtue. And it is hereby further
agreed and stipulated that the said Bryant Pierce
and Anna P. Pierce heirs or assigns will pay all
Costs expenses and attorneys fees which the said Mrs
Fielding P. Chamberlain may be put to in enforcing
the collection of the aforesaid sum of money Covenanted
to be paid by said note by foreclosure otherwise
In Witness Whereof we have hereunto set our hands
and affixed our seals on this 2nd day of October

For Value received I hereby acknowledge full and complete Satisfaction
and final discharge of this Mortgage this 19th day of March AD 1884
