Court in and for said State and County do hereby Certify
that on the 2nd day of October AD 1883 before me
personally appeared Bryant Pierce and Anna P.
Pierce his wife to me well known as the persons described 
in and who executed the foregoing Mortgage Deed
and Severally acknowledged the execution thereof to be
their free act and deed for the uses and purposes therein
mentioned and the said Anna P. Pierce the wife of the
said Bryant Pierce on an examination taken and made
separately and apart from her said husband did ac-
knowledge before me that she made herself a party to
the said Conveyance for the purpose of relinquishing
renouncing and releasing her dower in and to the lands
tenements and hereditaments therein described and thereby
granted and released and that such relinquishment
renunciation and releasing of dower is made by her
freely and voluntarily and without Constraint apprehension
or fear of or from her said husband

Alachua County   } Whereas I E.A. Hawkins am justly
indebted to G.D. Younglove & Son in the Sum of Sixty
five Dollars which said sum of money is Covenanted
to be paid by my Certain promissory note bearing even
date herewith for the said Sum And whereas I am
desirous of fully and better securing the payment of
said note and the sum of money mentioned therein.
Therefore know all men by these presents that I E.A.
Hawkins for and in consideration of the premises
and of one dollar to me in hand paid have
