Matilda Moody To Isaac Mizelle
"Mortgage"
This Indenture, made the 16th day of October one
thousand Eight hundred and Eighty three Between
Matilda Moody and her husband Randolph
Moody parties of the first part and Isaac Mizelle
of Alachua County Florida party of the second part
whereas the said Matilda Moody and her husband
Randolph Moody are justly indebted to the said
Isaac Mizelle party of the second part in the sum
of Six hundred and fifty dollars lawful money
of the United States of America with interest to ac-
crue evidenced by promissory notes of which the
following is a copy. One note for one Hundred
dollars due 15th day of November next one note
for one hundred dollars due 15th day of December
next. One note for one hundred and fifty dollars
due 1st day of January next, one note for one
hundred and fifty dollars due 15th day of
February 1884 and one note for one hundred
and fifty dollars due 1st day of March 1884
Now this Indenture witnesseth that the said parties
of the first part for the securing the payment
of the said moneys mentioned in the said promissory
notes and moneys herein mentioned and in Considera-
tion of the Sum of one dollar to them in hand paid
by the said party of the second part at or before
the delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is
hereby acknowledged have granted bargained
sold released Conveyed and Confirmed and by
these presents do grant bargain sell release Con-
vey and Confirm unto the said party of the second
part and his heirs and assigns forever. All the fol-
lowing described land Situate in the County of Alachua
and State of Florida.
The North portion of Block No Four (4) Goodson's addi-
tion to Melrose. Commencing at the NE Corner of
said lot to block No Four (4) thence West Seven 30/100
Ch (730) thence South along the dividing line between
blocks Four and Five Two 83/100 (2 2 83/100) Ch Thence
East Seven and 30/100 Ch (730) thence North along
the West side of a Twenty foot Street dividing
lots Four and Three back to place of beginning
Containing in all Two acres more or less and also
the following personal property to wit: One Grey
Horse and Cart.
Together with all and Singular the tenements
houses and improvements thereon and thereunto belonging
