personally appeared before me Thos H. Fletcher a
Justice of the Peace Lewis Tutson who acknowledged
the execution of the foregoing release of Mortgage for the
purpose therein expressed. In Witness Whereof I have

John Sweat To W.H. Geiger
         "Mortgage"
State of Florida }
Alachua County   } Know all men by these presents that
whereas John Sweat of the above State and County is
indebted to W.H. Geiger of the Same State and County in
the Sum of Fifty dollars which said Sum is Covenanted
to be paid by his Certain promissory note bearing date Jan-
uary 27th 1883 and for the said sum of Fifty dollars bearing
interest at the rate of ___Now therefore to better Secure the
payment of said note and interest as expressed therein
I do by these presents grant bargain sell and convey
unto the said W.H. Geiger heirs and assigns all my right
title interest and claim in and to Also the following des-
cribed property to wit: One Bay Horse aged Seven years
and one Bay mare aged Ten years. To Have and to Hold
all and Singular the crops lands and personal property above
bargained and sold unto the said W.H. Geiger his heirs
executors administrators and assigns forever. Provided Never-
theless that if the said John Sweat should well and truly
pay or cause to be paid unto the said W.H. Geiger the full
amount of said note together with the interest according
to its tenor and effect then this instrument to be void else to
remain in full force and virtue. And it is hereby further
agreed that should it become necessary to enforce this
instrument by legal proceedings the said John Sweat
will pay therefor all attorneys fees charges and expenses
In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and
affixed my seal this 27 day of January AD 1883
