John J. Riggs To James R. Crawford

         County  } Whereas we John W. Riggs and C.
E. Riggs justly indebted to James R. Crawford in
the Sum of Four Hundred and Fifty dollars which
said sum of money is covenanted to be paid by Certain
promissory note bearing even date herewith: And whereas
we are desirous of fully and better Securing the
payment of said note and the Sum of Money men-
tioned therein. Therefore know all men by these presents
that we John W. Riggs and C.E. Riggs for and in Con-
sideration of the premises and of One dollar to us in
hand paid have granted bargained sold and Con-
veyed and by these presents do grant bargain sell and
convey unto the said James R. Crawford his heirs
and assigns all the following described piece parcel
or tract of land Situated lying and being in the
County of Alachua State of Florida to wit: Commencing
on the Western boundary line of Section Five of Township
Twelve of Range Twenty one at a point Thirty Three
Chains and Seventeen links from the North Western
Corner of said section and running thence South Nine
(9) Chains & Seventy one (71) links along the Section line
to a stake thence East Twenty Six Chains and Eighty Seven
links to the public road thence along said road
North 34º West Eleven chains and twenty links to a
stake & thence West Twenty one Chains and fourteen
links to point of beginning and Containing Twenty
Three 30/100 acres more or less. Together with all and
singular the tenements hereditaments and appurten-
ances to the same belonging or in anywise appertain-
ing. To Have and to Hold the Same unto the said James
R. Crawford his heirs and assigns forever Provided
however and these presents are upon this express
Condition that if the said John W. Riggs and C.E.
Riggs heirs or assigns shall well and truly pay
